`Black Ice`, AC/DC`s first album in 8 years, could sell as many as 800,000 units in the first week in the USA.
According to HitsDailyDouble.com, the title sold around 180,000 units on the first day and “is on target to sell north of 800k”.`Black Ice` was released on Tuesday in the USA, but in Australia, stores broke embargo last week and put it on sale on Friday October 19.
That meant Friday’s sales counted towards the previous weeks chart.
`Black Ice` sold 7265 units in Australia before its official release on Saturday and debuted at number 3 on the chart this week behind Kings of Leon ‘Only By The Night’ and the compilation album ‘So Fresh - The Hits of Spring’.
