Reports out of the US stating that Stevie Wonder has cancelled his current tour because of the LA fires are false.
It has been reported in the New York Post that the superstar was “devastated” by the fire that destroyed his home and that he had put his current tour on hold to deal with the grief.That report is utter bullshit.
He has issued a statement to say that his house was not burnt down in the San Fernando Valley fires. “I’m grateful to say that my house was not burned down in the fire. I extend my sympathies to anyone who may have been touched by this horrendous event,” his statement reads.
Wonder is currently on tour in Australia.
He played in Perth on Tuesday and Adelaide on Thursday.
His next shows are Sunday (Oct 19) and Monday (Oct 20) in Melbourne, Wednesday (Oct 22) and Thursday (Oct 23) in Sydney and Saturday (Oct 25).
