Trent Reznor has announced the departure of Josh Freese from the band.
At NIN.com, Reznor has stated, "Josh Freese fans, be sure to check out a show on the upcoming North American leg of the tour, as sadly they will be the last ones he's playing with us. He informed me he's leaving the tour at the end of this year. Yes, we are still dear friends. No, I'm not sure what we are going to do."Freese found his first fame as a member of The Vandals after a stint with Dweezil Zappa.
He became a much sort after session guy and played with Devo, Guns n Roses, Perry Farrell and Chris Cornell.
His next job was as a founding member of A Perfect Circle.
So respected is he in La that this year the Mayor of the city declared July 24th Josh Freese Day.
Freese will concentrate on his solo career. He recently released his first solo album ‘The Notorious One Man Orgy’.
