Almost two years after his death from a drug overdose, Ol' Dirty Bastard's final album is set to be released.
The inimitable (and highly unstable) member of the Wu-Tang Clan's hip-hop dynasty died at the group's recording studio on November 13 2004. Now, almost two years later, Damon Dash Music Group will release his final album 'A Son Unique', on November 7.As per usual for any hip-hop heavyweight, the album promises a glittering line-up of guests, including Macy Gray, Missy Elliott, Pharrell, fellow Clan-members RZA, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, Method Man and more.
The enigmatic and erratic hip-hop hero sold over 7 million albums through his solo career, under a slew of hilarious pseudonyms including Osirus, Joe Bananas, Dirt McGirt, Dirt Dog, Unique Ason and Big Baby Jesus.
'A Son Unique' promises production from Wu-Tang beatmaker The RZA. The album was originally scheduled for release by Roc-A-Fella on August 9, 2005.
