Paul McCartney is the fireman, and as such is returning to his short lived pseudonym of the 90s for another album next month.
The record, which according to The Guardian, sounds like “Arcade Fire meets Led Zeppelin” is produced by producer extraordinaire and occasional Killing Joke bassist Youth.‘Electric Arguments’ will be the third release from The Fireman, and the first one with vocals, and each of the thirteen songs were written and recorded in one day each, a method McCartney is familiar with. His 1999 hark to the 50s ‘Run Devil Run’ also had a one-day limit on each song, because it reminded him of the early days when the Beatles would have to learn a song and record it straight away.
This record was “made with no record company restraints or a set release date to work to" and "with complete artistic and creative freedom,” according to a statement.
The album will be released on November 17.
