Lil Wayne has a brand spankin’ new blog, but it has little to do with music. Instead the sports mad rapper will be blogging about, well, sports.
Wayne picked up the gig writing for ESPN and has a style that lays out the facts simply with heartfelt passion.In his first entry he says “I don't watch nothing but sports, no movies, no news, no television shows, so I thought this would be fun.” And well, fair enough!
The first entry is more of an introduction to Wayne’s sporting credentials. He lists his favourite teams saying “Besides the Packers, my favorite teams are the Red Sox, the Lakers and the Boston Bruins. I also love tennis. I had a lot of people over to my place to watch the Wimbledon final this year, and we went crazy. I love Federer but Nadal is my favorite. He's the man.”
He writes about sports in a way the average person, sports fan or not, can understand and his passion is instantly obvious, even if he’s not going to win any awards for outstanding writing anytime soon.
