Iggy Pop and the Stooges have been once again nominated for a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. This is the 7th time the band has been up for the placement.
Nine acts were nominated this week for the Hall of Fame. Chic are in for the 5th time and Wanda Jackson has received her second nomination.First timers this year are Jeff Beck, Little Anthony & The Imperials, Metallica, Run-DMC, War and Bobby Womack.
The five acts who will be inducted into the Hall of Fame will be named in early December.
The induction ceremony will be held in Cleveland on April 4, 2009.
