A survey has shown that Australian`s are spending an increasing amount of time buying concert tickets on the boss` time.
Mytickets.com.au has analyzed its 5.7 million visits from the last 18 months and discovered that 33% more people buy tickets on Mondays or Tuesdays compared to weekends.“Substantially more people are looking for tickets online on Mondays and Tuesdays with the trend showing Tuesdays are increasingly becoming the day most people plan for their weekend,” mytickets.com.au CEO Christopher Plowman said.
He also noted that as the day is ending, there is a greater urgency to search faster. People visit more pages in less time, the survey showed.
Most tickets are bought early in the week. “By Friday, ticket searches have dropped right off and fall to a weekly low on Saturdays when Australians are out there enjoying the activities they organised earlier in the week. Australians like to be doing, not planning on their weekends,” he said.
The age group most likely to search for tickets is 25-29 year olds. 45-49 year olds are least likely to search.
Mytickets.com.au is not a ticket seller. It refers people to the best tickets.
In Australia, 10,000 events are listed every month.
