The best thing about last week`s Big Sound music conference in Brisbane was being introduced to new music. I suggest you check out Tracy Redhead.
Tracy has been paying her dues, as they say, for more than a decade and this year released her debut album ‘Walking Home A Different way’ though Inertia. After starting out in Perth in 1997, Tracy scored her first tour the following year supporting John Butler.
She moved to Sydney in 2000 and released an indie EP in 2004.
Other projects Tracy has been involved with include The Green Mist Collective, featuring Brian Richie from the Violent Femmes and Charlie Owen from Beasts of Bourbon.
She also co-wrote and recorded the album The Chapel of Ease with Charlie Owen and Julien Poulsen.
‘Walking Home A Different Way’ was three years in the making for Tracy.
