It is now obvious why Skid Row's Sebastian Bach was swapping text messages with Guns 'n' Roses' Axl Rose while he was in Melbourne a week ago.
Rose's "nu-GnR" was the headline act for LA radio station KROQ's Inland Invasion on Saturday night. The show, which also featured Muse and Alice In Chains, was streamed live at AT&T's Blueroom.
Bach, fresh back from Australia, jumped up on stage with Rose to sing the GnR classic 'My Michelle'.
The show was peppered with mostly Gunners classics, although a few songs including 'Madagascar' and 'The Blues' from the still unreleased and long overdue 'Chinese Democracy' album were performed.
The current line-up of Guns 'n' Roses includes Robin Finck (NIN) on guitar), Brain from Primus on drums and Tommy Stinson from The Replacements in bass.
Finck also gave the crowd a guitar solo version of Christina Aguilera's 'Beautiful'.
At the KROQ Inland Invasion, the Gunners performed:
Welcome To The Jungle
