Coldplay's Chris Martin has knocked back the (musical) advances of Justin Timberlake.
Timberlake - who has had the biggest album of the year so far with 'FutureSex/LoveSounds' - revealed that he had asked Martin to sing on the album. But Martin rebuffed the pop star, explaining that his vocals will only appear on Coldplay records (this, despite the fact that Martin recorded vocals for a discarded track on Nelly Furtado's album)Speaking to Britain's Channel 4, Timberlake said, "I'd like to get Chris Martin in the studio but he won't sing on anything but Coldplay stuff. I respect him and I hate him for that."
As recently reported by Undercover, Martin is set to appear on the new Jay-Z record. It will be interesting to hear Timberlake's reaction if Martin ends up singing with the rap mogul...
