Missy Higgins will perform her song `Where I Stood` on the Tonight Show With Jay Leno on Thursday (August 28).
‘Where I Stood’ is mentioned in Harlan Coben’s novel ‘Hold Tight’.Missy told Undercover that she found out that her song had become a novel idea when her Aunt read the book and discovered the reference to her niece. My Mum and Aunty were recently in Broome, in Western Australia, in the same place I wrote most of my last album, when my Aunty, in the middle of reading `Hold Tight` stopped suddenly and said, "Oh my God, he talks about Missy,” she said.
Harlan was introduced to Missy via a friend. “A friend forwarded me a copy of the song ‘Where I Stood’. I was mesmerized,” he told Undercover. “I loved every second. It is beautiful and it haunts”.
The song will be the lead track of a new EP Missy is about to release in the United States.
Next month she will tour the USA with the Indigo Girls and then jump ship for a tour with Ben Folds.
