Madonna has never been shy of making a political statement and she is using her Sticky and Sweet tour to do just that.
In the show, that started on the weekend in Cardiff, Madonna montages images of Adolf Hitler and Robert Mugabe alongside John McCain.Later in the show, when she is showing peaceful men, she montages John Lennon and Mahatma Gandhi with Barack Obama.
Madonna is using the tour to make a public statement about which people should consider voting for.
McCain has been struggling to distance himself from the Bush era disaster and has been making mistake after mistake with his media. In the last fortnight, he was sued by performer Jackson Browne for stealing his music and using it without permission in an ad campaign. Roseanne Cash was the next artist to condemn the struggling politician when he used the name of her father, Johnny Cash, completely out of context or regard the for family.
Madonna will play in Nice, France tonight, Berlin on the 28th and Zurich on the 30th.
