Bob Seger, Jimmy Buffett and Dave Matthews are just a few friend of the Feat who joins the band on ‘Join The Band’.Little Feat keyboard player Billy Payne came up with the idea after he played in Jimmy Buffett’s band for the ‘License To Chill’ album.
Jimmy then wanted to bring the whole band out to play and suddenly, the al-star project started to grow.
In the end, Black Crowes’ Chris Robinson was in for ‘Oh Atlanta’, Emmylou Harris sang on ‘Sailing Shoes’, Vince Gill did ‘Dixie Chicken’, Seger sang on ‘Something In The Water’ and Buffett played on ‘Champion of the World’ and ‘Time Loves A Hero’.
Little Feat and Friends ‘Join The Band’ is out now in 429 Records.
