Madonna has performed the first of her Sticky and Sweet shows in Cardiff, Wales.
The setlist for the tour is very much focused on the current album `Hard Candy`.Some of the older songs have been given a make-over. Her 80s dance hit `Borderline` is now a rock song with guitar.
The visuals at a Madonna gig have equal importance to the music. `Into The Groove` has a schoolyard skipping rope routine and `Music` is given the backdrop of a New York subway.
The newly turned 50-year old singer drives along the stage catwalk in a white car for `Beat Goes On`.
The Britney video also features. Britney Spears recorded her piece for the show last month in Los Angeles. She is seen stuck in an elevator whispering `express yourself, don`t express yourself” and Madonna says “It`s Britney, bitch”.
The Sticky and Sweet tour will play 50 dates through until December 18.
