Homebake has sold out in a record ten minutes for 2009, with just one lineup announcement and for the second year in a row being restricted to over 18s.It seems artists like Crowded House and Sneaky Sound System are enough to draw the festival crowd and Homebake is joining the ranks of the festival elite where tickets become as scarce as a nun in a brewery.
The good news is, Homebake is strictly an Australian line up and it brings a tear to my eye to see our home grown scene as healthy as ever.
For you lucky bastards with a ticket, I suppose you already know it’s on December 6 at The Domain in Sydney.
The line up so far is: Crowded House, Sneaky Sound System, Cut Copy, The Vines, Gabriella Cilmi, PNAU, Kasey Chambers and Shane Nicholson, Died Pretty, Potbeleez, Bliss n Eso, Karivool, You Am I, Infusion, Headless Chickens, British India, Getaway Plan, Sparkadia, Bluejuice, Eddy Current Suppression Ring, Drapht, Little Red, Snobscrilla, Pegs, Dash and Will, Bag Raiders.
