Fancy that bastion of truth The Sun printing a lie. Who would have thought a load of crap could ever get to print in the Murdoch press' Lenny Kravitz is not joining Velvet Revolver.
The Sun used their usual “unnamed source” as the source behind the story that Kravitz was going to replace Scott Weiland in Velvet Revolver.Kravitz learned of his new job when the fairy-tale did the rounds yesterday. “I know and live the Velvet Revolver guys bit there is no truth in to the story about me joining their band,” he told Rolling Stone.
The job of lead singer for Velvet Revolver came up with the dumping of singer Scott Weiland from the band in May.
Velvet Revolver suggests that a “big name singer” is in negotiations for the gig.
Weiland has reformed his previous band Stone Temple Pilots.
