After 25 years, Cheech and Chong are getting back together.
Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong announced at a press conference in Los Angeles today that they have put aside their differences and will embark on a 22-city US tour from September.The comedy duo will tour for Live Nation.
Cheech is now 62 years old, Tommy is 70.
The pair split in 1985 after the release of their final album `Get Out Of My Room`.
The first Cheech and Chong comedy album came out in 1971. In 1973 they won a Grammy Award for “Los Cochinos`.
They released 9 comedy albums up until 1985 and between 1978 and 1985 made 10 movies.
After the split, Cheech continued acting and had parts in Nash Bridges and The Golden Palace. He also voiced several animated movies including The Lion King and Cars.
Tommy, the father of actress Rae Dawn Chong, had a part in That `70`s Show as Leo but in 2003 was jailed for 9 months for distributing drug paraphernalia.
The Cheech and Chong tour will start in Philadelphia on September 12.
