There will be another Cheech and Chong movie. In fact, there will be three.
The first is a concert movie made for DVD from their current Cheech & Chong Light Up America tour. “We are also doing a concert movie before we get to Australia,” Tommy Chong tells Undercover News.The second one is an animated movie called Cheech & Chong’s Smokin’ Animated Movie through Big Vision Entertainment. It is in development now.
For the third, get ready for a new stoner movie in the tradition of their classic ‘Up In Smoke’. “I have a pretty good story line coming up,” Tommy says. “In fact my wife had a name for it. She wants us to call it Grumpy Old Stoners. That is the working title”.
There is a lot of activity with Cheech & Chong right now, and we can thank the people at South Park for getting them back together.
“South Park got us back but we didn’t work together,” he says. “Cheech did his bit one day and I came in the next day and did my bit. That was the first time we did something together in 20 years so yes, we can give South Park the credit”.

Cheech and Chong will start their Australian tour at the Enmore in Sydney on April 15.
