Swiftly following up the nominations, Australia's hottest acts have been tipped to perform at the 2006 ARIA Awards.
Obviously, it wouldn't be the 2006 ARIAs without a massive showing from Wolfmother. They've been taking the world by storm, scooped up five nominations, and now have been announced to play upon their return from Europe and the US. Also with five nominations in hand (and three statuettes in the bag from 2004 and 2005), Eskimo Joe will perform their dark new wave rock.On a more pop note, The Veronicas will be performing on the main stage. They're up for three ARIA Awards for their debut 'The Secret Life Of...' And bringing a far more rural vibe is Australia's favourite country export Keith Urban. He'll be back home for the first time since his wedding to "our" Nicole Kidman, on stage for a very rare performance.
The ceremony will once again be hosted by a rotating galaxy of local and international stars and ARIA announce their first co-anchor in the form of Channel [V] and Australian Idol host James Mathison.
The event will take place on October 29 at Sydney's Acer Arena.
