A website which draws attention to Paris Hilton's exotic animal obsession has been launched.
'Tell Paris No' has launched a campaign designed to raise awareness about the professional celebrity's penchant for illegally collecting rare wildlife. The toy in question is Baby Luv, a rare kinkajou (also known as a honey bear) whose natural habitat - namely the jungles of Central and South America - is far removed from the flashing lights of Hollywood. The website says, "Innocent kinkajous such as the prisoner 'Baby Luv' are often stolen from their natural habitat and sold abroad through the international wildlife trade. But hey, what does the biological diversity of the rainforest or the welfare of Baby Luv matter compared to Paris looking cool and hip?"
The action comes only a few weeks after Beyonce was heavily criticised for taping a baby alligator's mouth shut during a photo shoot. The PETA organisation have taken the singer to task for both the alligator incident and her promotion of fur in her House of Dereon fashion line.
