Father Eugene O`Hagan, Father Martin O`Hagan and Father David Delargy could be the world`s biggest popstars by the end of the year. In November, The Priests will release their debut album.
Father Eugene O`Hagan, Father Martin O`Hagan and Father David Delargy could be the world`s biggest popstars by the end of the year.The three fathers` began recording on May 23 in Dublin. They will continue their recording in Belfast and then the Vatican in preparation for the release. At the Vatican, the Vatican Choir will contribute vocals to the album.
Producer Mike Hedges is overseeing the recording. Hedges has worked with U2. The Cure and Manic Street Preachers.
Songs have been recorded in Latin, Spanish, German, Italian and English. Songs include `Ava Maria`, `Panis Angelicus`, `Abide With Me` and `O Holy Night`.
The Priests may very well be the most accessible popstars in the world after the release. They will continue their day-to-day church duties and their contract with SonyBMG exempts them from taking part in any promotional activity if it interferes with their work.
