Paul Simon is suing the manufacturers of a cookoo clock for using his song `Bridge Over Troubled Water` without his permission.
The music legend claims that the clock maker has sold more than 40,000 of the clocks and therefore owes him $10 million.Simon is taking the company Rhythm USA Inc to court after filing with the federal court of Manhattan on Friday.
The suit claims that the company should have known that Simon`s rights were being violated.
The company has been around since 1950 and has sold more than 20 million clocks.
Simon wants $10 million in damages. His lawyer claims that the license fee for using the song is worth $1 million.
