Eminem’s record label has confirmed that the rapper is back in the recording studio working on a new album after a four year hiatus, with reports from a fellow rapper saying there’s “some amazing stuff” being recorded.
“Em is excited,” label mate Bishop Lamont tells Entertainment Weekly. “He’s been quiet too long and he’s got a lot to get off his chest.”The 35-year-old superstar took time out of the spotlight to deal with the loss of his close friend and D12 band member Proof, who died in a shooting in a Detroit bar in 2006.
“He went through what he had to go through,” Lamont continues. “And now he’s been able to take all the pain and stress and put it out in his music.”
