Big Boi tweets about hitting the studio for a new album.
Today he updated his location as Stankonia Studio in Atlanta (Stankonia being Outkast’s 2000 classic) with producers The Beat Bullies, who have previously worked with him, T.I. and Ludacris.
It’s most likely not a new Outkast effort but the follow-up to his excellent solo album of July this year Sir Lucious Leftfoot: Son Of Chico Dusty.
That album was in hiatus for years, and he’s been talking about going straight back in to record another album, which will supposedly be called Daddy Fat Sax: Soul Funk Crusader.
He told the Village Voice in July that he’s already six songs into it, and will likely release it in the second half of 2011.
Speaking of funky soulmen, check out our interview with John Legend below.
