Oz rock stalwarts INXS have put their revival on hold due to guitarist Tim Farris' recent knee injury.
Guitarist Farris tore ligaments in his knee last week in Australia and has to go into hospital for surgery to repair the damage. The hospital stay has forced the band to cancel their scheduled Holland, Germany, Denmark, Norway, France, Belgium, Poland, Switzerland and Spain shows. The band's agent plans to reschedule all the European dates. The upcoming New Zealand, India, London and Glasgow shows will go on as planned.INXS's agent, Keith Naisbitt, said on their website, "The band are understandably very disappointed and I will be working with the promoters across Europe in an attempt to reschedule the affected shows."
Farris announced on the website that, "The fans out there know how much we were all looking forward to playing across Europe again and I honestly am gutted. The doc has said enough's enough though and has ordered me to undergo surgery in October."
The band are currently touring the world in support of their new album 'Switch'. After Farris' surgery, the band hope to continue the North American leg of the tour throughout November.
