The kings of trashy Los Angeles rock 'n' roll, Buckcherry have found themselves in a spot of hot water after an underage girl appeared in the sexually explicit video for their track 'Crazy Bitch'.
The woman, identified only as Jane Doe, is suing the band, claming she was not asked for identification to be in the video, where she was filmed exposing her breasts, kissing other girls and dancing around a strip pole after having been given alcohol. When the video aired, Doe suffered emotional distress and is now seeking $25,000 in damages.
She was there after answering an ad posted on the band's MySpace site.
The band claim the only way she could've been in there was to lie about her age on a release form. She also ignored signs telling minors to keep out.
The band's record label Atlantic have been quick to distance themselves from the situation, explaining that the video was shot last October, while the band was only signed to the label in May.
Their manager is taking a more aggressive approach, saying to ARTISTdirect, "For whatever reason, the girl subverted those efforts, and now her mom is trying to blame everyone but her. This woman is now looking at them as a profit opportunity."
