The winner of Rock Star: Supernova has been decided.
Canadian Lukas Rossi beat Melbourne lad Toby Rand in the final for the right to front hard-rock supergroup Supernova. Rand had been the favourite to win the competition, however the 28-year-old will now have to rely on his own recording contract to pursue his rock'n'roll dream.Angsty pseudo-goth rocker Lukas Rossi joins Tommy Lee, Jason Newsted and Gilby Clarke in Supernova, who may still have to change their name after the Californian group of the same name won a preliminary injunction against the television band.
MTV reported that the supergroup are banned from "performing rock and roll music, or recording, or selling rock and roll music recordings under the same [name], pending a trial of this action on its merits, or until otherwise ordered by the court."
