The Detroit News is reporting that a man has filed a lawsuit against Eminem, claiming the rapper sucker-punched him while at in the bathroom of a Detroit nightclub in 2006.
Miad Jarbou alleges that Eminem and his bodyguard entered the facilities at Cheetah’s strip club on July 13, 2006, with his friend saying to the star, “Hey Eminem, what’s up man'”According to the suit, Eminem’s rapper told the man to “Shut the f*ck up, man! Don’t say another word,” to which Jarbou responded, “Hey, man, my friend ain’t starting trouble, it’s just cool to see Eminem.”
The rapper allegedly then turned to Jarbou and “without warning or provocation... drove his fist in a violent punching manner,” hitting him in the face which resulted in Jarbou being knocked to the floor.
He says Eminem, born Marshall Mathers III, and his bodyguard then left.
Documents state that Jarbou is seeking more than US$25,000 in damages due to suffering, “physical pain and suffering, emotional distress, ongoing serious injuries requiring medical treatment... embarrassment, humiliation, medical expenses, wage loss and other economic and non-economic” damages.
No official comment has been made by the rapper or his management at the time of writing.
