Adelaide surfer, now LA resident Ry Cuming, is working on his debut album for Jive Records.
Ry was one of the showcase acts at this year's Musexpo.After a recent tour supporting Maroon5 and OneRepublic, Ry was signed with the US pop label and has now started work with producer Mark Batson (James Blunt, Dave Matthews).
Ry was born in the South Australian surfing town of Angourie. He cites Jack Johnson, Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder as his influences.
In LA, he has had the chance to appear on NBC's Extra and MTV's Laguna Beach.
He has also signed a promotional deal with Quiksilver.
Ry's new music is expected later this year.
