One of Melbourne's most popular nightclubs, Cherry Bar, has been damaged after fire swept through the building last night.
The blaze started at around 8.30pm in the building in Flinders Lane.Celebrity chef Janie Oliver had his office in the building. Firefighters say the blaze started in Oliver's office.
The building is alongside AC/DC Lane, the laneway named in honour of Australia's greatest rock band that spent its early days living in the city of Melbourne. The Living End are scheduled to perform a free concert tomorrow night in the laneway. It is unknown at this stage if the fire will affect the performance going ahead.
