Canada's Feist could every well have the Australian Song of the Year at the APRA Awards this year, with thanks to Sally Seltmann.
Seltmann, aka New Buffalo, co-wrote '1234' with Fiest.Melbourne based Sally is the wife of Darren Seltmann from The Avalanches.
'1234' became a massive hit off the back of Apple's iPod campaign. The song was used as the soundtrack for the iPod television commercial.
With thanks to the Aussie connection, '1234' has been nominated for Song of the Year for this year's APRA Music Awards. It goes up against '20 Good Reasons' by Thirsty Merc, 'Better Than' by Silverchair, 'Lost and Running' from Powderfinger' and 'Straight Lines' by Silverchair.
The APRA Music Awards will be held in Sydney on Monday June 16.
