Sarah Blasko writes that the three-way collaboration between her, Sally Seltmann and Holly Throsby is finally mastered.
Blasko is currently touring through the UK and Europe supporting Swedes Lykke Li and Peter Bjorn and John.
The first post for 2011 on her revived blog reveals that the album she, Sally Seltmann and Holly Throsby recorded last year has finally been mastered.
She writes, “My time recording in NYC with Sally Seltmann and Holly Throsby wasn’t particularly well documented I’m afraid. I guess we realised how much work there was to do to record a whole album in ten days.. and so the journal entries fell by the wayside!… but you’ll hopefully get to hear the fruit of our labours very soon because we just had the album mastered.”
The two previous blog posts were from the time of recording, in August last year.
The three teamed up with drummer Jim White on drums, bassist Shahzad Ismaily and producer and engineer Victor Van Vugt at Stratosphere Studio in New York, which is part-owned by James Iha (ex-Smashing Pumpkins).
Blasko herself is currently living in London, touring, and working on the follow-up to her Top 5-charting 2009 album As Day Follows Night.
