Joe Jackson still has fond memories of his 1978 hit song 'Is She Really Going Out With Him'.
In recalling the song for Undercover, Joe said how easy it felt to write. "It just leapt into my head, just the title," he told Undercover News. The thing that amuses him most about the song is how serious people took it. "It's kind of a joke song. It is very lightweight," he said. "It actually amazed me that some people interpreted it as being angry when it is so obviously humorous".
Of the subject matter though, he says there is no real "She" and no real "Him" in 'Is She Really Going Out With Him". "There was no autobiographical dirt," he told Undercover.
The song is still a staple of the current Joe Jackson setlist.
