All Saints star Jolene Anderson has been handpicked personally by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber's company Really Useful Group to star in the Australian production of his musical 'Tell Me On A Sunday'.
Peter Cousens, the founder of musical theatre company Kookaburra, is behind the production."We invited her to play the role, she sang for us, we videotaped it and sent it to Andrew Lloyd Webber's company for approval. They approved her," Peter told Undercover News.
Webber has also modified the show for the Australian audiences. "The show was originally written for an English girl heading to America," he says. "Andrew has rewritten it for an Aussie".
Part of those modifications includes changing the place names. "Instead of British Airwaves, it is now Qantas," he said.
Kookaburra has a number of productions in the works. 'Little Women' will open in November and 'I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change' will open in April 2009.
'Tell Me On A Sunday' will run from August 19-30 in Sydney and then move to Melbourne from September 2-14.
Tickets for both the Sydney and Melbourne production are on sale now.
