Minnie Driver has pulled in the crack-team of Ryan Adams and the Cardinals to back her on one track from her new album, 'Sea Stories'.
With Adams on guitar, Brad Pemberton on drums, Neil Casal on piano and guitar, Jon Graboff on guitar and pedal steel and Chris Feinstein on bass, Minnie has Ryan and the Cardinals providing all music for 'Beloved'.'SeaStories' also features guest spots by Liz Phair (backing vocals on 'Sorry Baby) and The Wallflowers' Rami Jaffee (
The meaning behind the title 'SeaStories' is answered in the liner notes to the album. In a note to boyfriend Dan Rosen, Minnie says, "Dan, everything that started at the beach and ended up on the corner of Bond and Lafayette often came because of you. You are my friend and an inspiration and I love you".
Driver and Rosen broke up two years ago. He is the lead singer for Melbourne originated New York based Second Dan.
Only last month, she revealed on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno that she was pregnant with her first child. She has not revealed who the father is.
