It's official. Amy Winehouse will not record the theme for the next Bond movie 'Quantum of Solace'.
Producer Mark Ronson has told Sky News that Amy is not ready to start recording "unless by some miracle of science it gets recorded and someone sings a vocal," he said.Ronson confirmed that they did not get as far as signing a contract to do the theme but they had recorded a demo for the Bond movie.
When Winehouse is ready to record again, Ronson will be ready to record her. "She has always made her own decisions about her music. Needless to say, this is part of the process between artist and producer and we're sure they will continue to make great music together," he told Sky.
It was hoped Amy would be in a position to record the song but given the incidents in recent weeks, it may be some time before she re-enters the studio.
