Maybe 'Chinese Democracy' will be released after-all.
At the Guns 'n' Roses official website, it now states that they are looking for a deal for the release of the album, which suggests that the project may finally have been completed."We're in negotiations for the release of "Chinese Democracy" and things are going well," reads the statement at the website.
A release before the end of 2008 will really be a surprise. Guns 'n' Roses 'Chinese Democracy' is the most overdue album in history. It first hit the Universal Music release sheet in 1999 and is still to see the light of day.
Guns 'n' Roses had a throwback last week when guitarist Robin Finck up and left the band. He suddenly departed without prior warning to join Trent Reznor's Nine Inch Nails touring band.
At the website, the Gunners says, "Robin's plans caught everyone in Guns, as well as our fans, a bit off-guard".
"Really, Del James' private e-mail that someone took upon themselves to post publicly is the best way for us to address things at this time: "Only Robin knows what Robin's doing."
"Neither we nor management, etc., know any more in this regard and we prefer not to speculate or offer opinions at this time".
"Robin's Robin".
Finck was with Reznor in the mid-90s, so who knows.
Anyway, we might see the 'Chinese Democracy' album this year. Then again, kd lang might announce that she is going to marry a man.
