Madonna's 'Hard Candy' will be the number one album in the USA next week, based on first day sales.
Hits Daily Double has reported that the album should do up to 300,000 units in the USA this week. That will be enough to dethrone Mariah Carey who has topped the American charts for the last two weeks with 'E=MC2".Madonna's last album 'Confessions On The Dancefloor' from 2005 did around 1,600,000 units in America and 8 million units worldwide. First week sales for 'Confessions' was 349,000.
'E=MC2" did just under half a million in the first week when it debuted two weeks ago. This week, it sold a further 175,000 units.
