Pete Wentz has denied tabloid rumors that his new fiance Ashlee Simpson is expecting a baby, telling MTV that "this is all news to me".
Magazines including OK! and US Weekly have declared that the pair were expecting, with both publications naming the preganancy as the reason for the couple's engagement announcement last week.However, Wentz slams the reports, saying that they and in love and engaged - and that's it.
"There is a witch hunt for people to be pregnant whenever they get engaged in Hollywood," Wentz wrote in an email to MTV News.
"This is all news to me. I can't wait for the story about how I'm really in a gay relationship and this is all just a cover... I mean, really, this is crazy... I mean we're engaged, that's true, and we're happy about it."
MTV then asked the Fall Out Boy bassist if this means that he is denying the pregnancy, to which he responded, "Yeah."
