Ashlee Simpson and Fallout Boy's Pete Wentz are engaged.

Simpson has confirmed the engagement "We know there has been a lot of speculation recently about Pete and I and we wanted our fans to be the first to know, because you guys are the best. Yes, we are thrilled to share that we are happily engaged," the couple confirmed at Ashlee's MySpace site.

The pair has been a couple since 2006.

28 year old Wentz is the bass player for Chicago band Fallout Boy.
