Foo Fighters front man Dave Grohl promises a big night out with Todd Russell and Brant Webb, two miners who were trapped for two weeks in a mine at Beaconsfield, Tasmania earlier this year.
The miners were given mp3 players during their time down there, and Webb had requested the Foo Fighters to be loaded onto his one.News made it back to Grohl and he offered, at the time, to have a beer with them anywhere at any time.
Speaking to Triple J's Jay and The Doctor this morning, Grohl said "I was willing to flip the bill to have them come half way around the world just to hang out and have a beer, and then it turned out they couldn't come."
"And you know what, I'm not just having one beer with those dudes, we're going for it. This is going to be a big night."
The Foo Fighters will play two acoustic shows at the Sydney Opera House on October 3 and 4.
