The Big Day Out 2012 line-up is official with the reformed Soundgarden, Kanye West and Kasabian announced as the Top 3 headline acts.
This will be the third Big Day Out for Soundgarden who last played in 1997 and then went home and broke-up. They were also one of the mains act in 1994.
Kasabian are in Australia at the moment. It will also be their third Big Day Out. They played in 2007 and again in 2010.
Kanye West is a Big Day Out Virgin although he played recently at Splendour and a few years back at the V Festival in Australia and he has toured the country on his own tours on numerous occasions.
Other acts announced for Big Day Out are My Chemical Romance, The Living End, Royksopp, Boy & Bear, Best Coast, Foster The People, Cage The Elephant, The Getaway Plan, Girl Talk, Frenzal Rhomb, Off Future, The Jezabels, Battles, Architecture In Helsinki, Mariachi El Bronx, Parkway Drive.
