Motley Crue bass player Nikki Sixx has been named President of Eleven Seven Records.
The label was founded by Allen Kovac of the 10th Street Entertainment group and is distributed by Warner Music.Sixx records for the label with his side project Six:A.M.
Other acts on the label include Buckcherry, Drowning Pool, Everclear, Jonny Lives, Marion Raven, The New Cars and Trapt.
Sixx told Billboard, "I've had enough success and enough misfires in a career that's lasted over 25 years that I can go back and draw on that experience, and I think that's helpful for the artists."
When Sixx isn't being a record executive, he will continue to work with Motley Crue. The band is currently working on a new album for a mid-year release.
