Byron Bay's Splendour in the Grass festival is creeping up on us, and the first line up announcement is still a few weeks off, dates and a venue have been confirmed.
The festival will take place on the weekend of August 2 - 3, 2008 at Belongil Fields, Byron Bay.The festival has always taken place at this venue, but this year attempts were made to move it to North Byron Shire Parklands.
The future of the festival (or any festival) at Belongil is in question, however, with development planned for the site.
In seven years of existence (this is the eighth) the festival has showcased bands like The Scissor Sisters, Brian Wilson, Wolfmother, Powderfinger, The Finn Brothers, Lily Allen, Arctic Monkeys, Bloc Party and many many more.
