Scott Weiland's recent mouth-off with fellow Velvet Revolver member Matt Sorum has proved fruitless. Weiland's announcement that Velvet Revolver is over has ended with his departure from the band and the promise of the band to continue without him.
In an announcement today, Velvet Revolver founding members Slash, Duff McKagan, Matt Sorum and Dave Kushner announced today that they are parting ways with singer Scott Weiland."This band is all about its fans and its music and Scott Weiland isn't 100% committed to either," said Slash in the statement. "Among other things, his increasingly erratic on-stage behavior and personal problems have forced us to move on."
Weiland is back with his old band Stone Temple Pilots who will tour the North America in May.
As for Velvet Revolver, it is unknown who will be recruited as lead singer at this stage.
