The Specials are getting back together with Terry Hall.
Hall left the group in 1981 when the UK act was at its peak. 'Ghost Town' had just been a number one record in England. He left with fellow members Neville Staple and Lynval Golding to create the offshoot Funboy 3.
The Specials disbanded not long after.
The Specials name has since been kept breathing via another offshoot made up of members of the band and another English Ska group The Beat. The Special Beat, as they were known, have done a number of shows in recent years.
There was also the reunion without Hall for the 'Today's Specials' and 'Guilty Until Proven Innocent' albums in the 90s.
Hall and Golding started working together again in 2007. They performed at Glastonbury and did 'Gangsters' with Lily Allen. They also joined Damon Albarn of Blur for a performance of their 'A Message To You Rudy' at the same festival.
Hall says the 2008 reunion has been inspired by seeing acts like The Pixies get back together.
