Jack White's Raconteurs (aka Saboteurs) have thrown together a surprise second album with very little fanfare.
'Consolers of the Lonely' is a 14 song set recorded in the band's adopted town of Nashville. The band hit the studio in Nashville in May 2007 and started putting down their ideas. From that, they worked out the arrangements and came up with the ideas during the writing process.
When they went back into the studio recently to start work on the record, all of the ideas were already formulated and the record happened quickly.
Raconteurs/Saboteurs is Jack White on guitars, vocals and keys, Brendan Benson on guitars, vocals and keys, Jack Lawrence in bass and vocals and Patrick Keeler on drums.
'Consolers of the Lonely' will be released on vinyl, CD and digitally on Third Man Records through Warner.
The album was released this week.
