Triple J's Unearthed has a new angle this year. They are looking for Australia's hottest high school band.
The Australian youth network cites bands like Silverchair, Radiohead, Eskimo Joe, Operator Please and U2 as the template for this year's discovery. All of those bands, says the J's, started as school bands.Applications for Unearthed will be accepted up until May 16.
The winner will be treated to time in Triple J's Sydney studios and be recorded by their production team.
The winning school will be granted a special lunchtime concert by a top Australian band.
