Yoko Ono has spoken out about the death of Neil Aspinall.
Aspinall died in New York this week of lung cancer. He started work for The Beatles as their roadie in 1961 and went on the run their Apple empire.At her Facebook site, Yoko said, "Neil was an important member of the Beatles' family. John loved him I continued to treasure his wisdom and support in the years after John's passing. My love and deepest sympathy go to Neil's wife Suzy, and to his children".
Aspinall died Sunday night in Manhattan where he was undergoing treatment at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
Just days earlier, Paul MCCartney flew to New York to say goodbye to his dear friend of 50 years.
